Holliday Grainger Cleans From Top To Bottom In "Tulip Fever"

Holliday Grainger ("The Borgias") will play a maid in the drama "Tulip Fever" says The Wrap.

Based on author Deborah Moggach's book, the story follows the love affair between a man and a woman (Dane DeHaan and Alicia Vikander) at a time when Dutch painters were creating masterpieces and a tulip bulb cost ten times the average annual salary.

 Christoph Waltz also stars.

Justin Chadwick (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) will direct.

Alison Owen will produce the film.

Production is set to begin this April.

This one has had quite a history. Back in 2004, "Shakespeare in Love" director John Madden was lining up the movie with Keira Knightley and Jude Law to star, with an adapted script by Tom Stoppard But once tax incentives for production in UK disappeared, it was scrapped .

Soon after that, director Peter Chelsom ("Shall We Dance," "Hannah Montana: The Movie") tried to get it made. It quickly fell apart,

Then in 2011, Tom Hooper considered it among a handful of other project as his follow-up to "The King's Speech" before settling on "Les Miserables"
