Jurassic World: Set Prep Pics, Pratt And More...

A tipster has provided set construction pics to On Location Vacations for Colin Trevorrow's sequel "Jurassic World".

Mid Week reports that the production will return to some of the original Jurassic Park's Hawaiian filming locations with four weeks of filming in Oahu and two in Kauai scheduled ahead of an eleven week shoot in New Orleans.

Trevorrow also confirmed via Twitter that the movie will be filmed in native 3D on both "35MM and 65MM stock" indicating a potential IMAX release.

Out doing publicity for Lego Movie, actor Chris Pratt recently explained to MTV that Trevorrow and his writers have come up with a satisfying answer to his own skepticism about the sequel:

"What I liked about it was that it answers the question of, 'Why would you do that?' How do you suspend disbelief to be like, 'Oh yes, let’s make this mistake again'? 'We haven’t learned our lesson about dinosaurs, we should definitely live with them and see how that works out.' You know, after like three tries at it! They answer the question really well through the script. Colin did a great job of writing it, justifying it, and, kind of, in his own way, having fun with that. Anybody who goes in with that question will be really amused, the way I was, about how they answer that."

Asked if his character is more like Alan Grant (Sam Neill) or Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum)

Pratt says: "He’s got a little of both. He’s got little bits of the Goldblum cynicism, but also the Sam Neill excitement and the wonder in the biology. So it’s a combination."

Pratt will play a rugged ex-military man, who spars with Bryce Dallas Howard's corporate scientist.  Melissa & Joey and The Kings of Summer star Nick Robinson is poised to play the older brother of Ty Simpkins, the 12-year-old actor that befriended Robert Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 3".The boys are in turn Howard’s nephews. Josh Brolin was first in line for Pratt's role but a deal could not be reached.

"New Girl" and "Drinking Buddies" star Jake Johnson may also star. "Pacific Rim" and "Luther" star Idris Elba came up in a casting notice recently. Jason Schwartzman is rumored for a role in the sequel. David Oyelowo is said to had a meeting about the flick as well. There's nothing official just yet though.

Originally slated for June 2014, the sequel was delayed due to further work being need on the super secret script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes)--not to mention an already too tight schedule. Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow will call action on the feature.

Trevorrow wrote the revised screenplay with Derek Connolly

Steven Spielberg, who directed Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will executive produce here. Jurassic Park III was brought to the screen by Joe Johnston.

Filming on the new "Jurassic Park" is slated to begin this Spring  Frank Marshall will produce the dino sequel set to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
