Jon Favreau Gets "Term Life" Role

Actor/director Jon Favreau has joined the film adaptation of the graphic novel "Term Life" says Deadline.

The nonlinear story centers on a low-life (Vince Vaughn) whom everybody wants dead. In a rare act of selflessness, the man takes out a million-dollar policy to benefit his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld). Soon after, he realizes it doesn’t take effect for three weeks so he must survive that long in order for it to take effect.

 Favreau's part is unknown.

Boardwalk Empire's Shea Whigham is set to play a vice detective who is estranged from his own family. Jordi Molla will play a villainous cartel member who blames Vaughn’s character for the death of his only son (William Levy). Bill Paxton also stars.

"Couples Retreat" director Peter Billingsley calls the shots using a script by A.J. Lieberman, which is adapted from the comic he co-created with Nick Thornborrow

Micah Mason, Vince and Victoria Vaughn Bill Block, Christopher Woodrow and Molly Conners are producing the film.

Production is underway.
