Jason Statham played the role in the previous three films, while Chris Vance took on the role in the Transporter: The TV Series This proposed new trilogy of films features a younger Frank Martin which Skrein will play.
The story returns the action to the French Riviera and will explore Martin's relationship with his father.

Production begins in June. "Transporter 5" and "Transporter 6" are expected to be official Chinese co-productions. The first three films in the series have grossed around $250 million worldwide.
