Set in the Appalachian Mountains, De Niro plays an American military veteran now living in a remote cabin in the woods. When a European tourist (Travolta) appears, the two men strike up an unlikely friendship. It soon turns out that the visitor is a former Serbian soldier bent on revenge with the two battling across some of America’s most forbidding landscape.
Mark Steven Johnson (“Ghost Rider,” “Daredevil”) directs from a script by Evan Daugherty (“Snow White and the Huntsman”).
Production kicks off January 16th.
