Olivia Wilde and Steve Buscemi are in official talks to join the comedy Burt Wonderstone says THR,
Set in the world of rival Las Vegas magicians, Steve Carell stars as a more traditional magic man who is dethroned by a hip younger illusionist (Jim Carrey) and must then find a way to rediscover his love for magic.
Wilde would be playing the love interest of Carell's title character--seemingly beating out, Michelle Monaghan, Judy Greer, Sarah Silverman and Jessica Biel for the part--while Buscemi wiould play the role of his longtime friend and former partner. James Gandolfini co-stars
Don Scardino directs from a script that has seen its share of writers taking a crack at it including Jason Reitman, Chad Kultgen, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
Carell, Chris Bender, J.C. Spink and Tyler Mitchell are producing the pic.
Shooting kicks off in January.
