Do A little Song, Do A Little "Dance"

As most of you probably know by now, the 2006 Sundance Film Festival is in full swing. Started by actor/director Robert Redford in 1981, the annual event has become a highlight for the entire film industry.

It's not just a place to showcase an independent film, or to be seen seen schmoozing away, but it's also the place where deals are made that could help put a filmmaker on the map.

The distribution "war" over the festival's hot property Little Miss Sunshine seems to be over, with Fox Searchlight Pictures coming out on top. The comedy from directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris had already been making noise, thanks to the casting of recent Golden Globe winner, Steve Carell. He has a busy year ahead of him and demand for him continues to rise exponentially.

We will see how "Sunshine" plays out and whether it lives up to the hype...
