Critical Decision

The end of the year means that all of the nation's film critics are naming their picks for best movies of the year...Currently, No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood are getting singled out the most.

Here's what the critics are saying so far...

'No Country' tops with N.Y. critics

"No Country for Old Men" was the big winner in Monday's voting for the New York Film Critics Circle awards, winning best film and three other prizes.

L.A. critics call for 'Blood'

Film wins best picture, director, actor prizes

NY Online Critics winners announced

'Butterfly' 'Blood' tie for best picture

'No Country' tops with Boston critics

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly nabs best director, foreign film

D.C. Critics choose 'Country'

'Men' named best picture, George Clooney takes actor

I have not seen either "Blood" or "Country" but as award season approaches, I wonder how much both flicks are going to factor into the mix?

Meanwhile, the International Documentary Association has also chosen their favorites as well:

'Walk to Beautiful' tops IDA awards

Michael Moore honored for career achievement

Moore has helped to put the doc genre into the mainstream, for sure. Is that his achievement? Or is it for being political...?

As soon as more critics and others weigh in with their best of the year, I'll let you know...
