Sinking Like A Stone

It appears that movie-goers were not all that interested to see actress Sharon Stone reprise her role as novelist Catherine Tramell in Basic Instinct 2 .

I knew the film would have a rough go of it this weekend, after reading all of those negative reviews on Friday, but I didn't think things would be this bad...

As I write this on Sunday morning, the motion picture has earned an estimated and embarrassing $3.2 Million in ticket sales, landing in 10th place, according to Box Office Mojo. Have a look for yourself, if you want, but I warn ya... it ain't a pretty sight...

Sheesh! It looks like Stone's former Instinct co-star, Michael Douglas, had good enough instincts of his own after all, and is probably so glad he passed on the sequel.

Final weekend box office numbers will be released late tomorrow afternoon...
