I personally think having the film show up in France 5 weeks before its release date would be a mistake.If it premiered there and got the reception that "Da Vinci" got, for example, than its opening here would seem anti-climatic. And it would give the film 5 weeks of bad vibes rather than just 2 days.
Smart Move.
