Tony Scott's new action-thriller "Unstoppable" has been urm...stopped according to Variety.
The sudden halt is due to budgeting concerns over the cost of physical production.
The story follows a veteran engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young conductor (Chris Pine) chasing a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals.
Though deals with Pine, Washington and Scott weren't closed, pre-production had begun and shooting was targeted to kick off this August for release next Summer.
In the currently tight financial times though, studios is are paying more attention to budgets and Scott is coming off the disappointing results for The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 - remake currently in theaters--which can't help matters.
Still unlike the recently axed Moneyball, the Steven Soderbergh movie starring Brad Pitt-- it's likely the film will still happen but at a later date.
