No official announcement has yet been made of Foster's involvement.

Damon Lindelof has worked with director Scott on the script, which was originally written by Jon Spaihts
Lindelof talked about the story for "Prometheus" and it's connection to the '79 film (via /Film)...And then the first footage was expected to be shown during CineEurope to industry professionals, however The Hollywood Reporter says nothing was screened. Scott, Fassbender and Rapace were on hand though for a Q&A
Meanwhile as to the supposed "leaked synopsis" via io9 from a few days ago was shot down by a studio representative that described the information as "way off" and countered with the release of a short official synopsis:
"Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life's ultimate mystery."
Look for ithe flick in theatres on June 8th, 2012.
