Criss Hearts Inogene

Darren Criss of TV's Glee has joined the cast of Kristen Wiig's new film Imogene says Vulture.


In the story Wiig plays a moderately successful New York playwright who stages a fake suicide attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to end up forced into the custody of her gambling-addict mother (Annette Bening).

Criss will play a young love interest for Wiig in the pic

Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini ("American Splendor") will direct the picture from a script by Michelle Morgan.

The project is being produced by Celine Rattray Trudie Styler Alix Madigan, and Steve Golin,

Wiig and Morgan will executve produce

Shooting starts in late summer.
