Harington And Vikander Fall In Love During Their "Youth"

Kit Harington and Alicia Vikander will reunite on the World War I-set romance "Testament of Youth" says THR.


The film follows writer and feminist Vera Brittain (Vikander who takes over for actress Saoirse Ronan) and is based on her 1933 memoir The story follows a young woman who overcomes the prejudices of her family and hometown to win a scholarship to the  University of Oxford. Falling for her brother's friend (Harington) who is sent off to war, she volunteers as a nurse and travels to France in order to help.

James Kent helms the project from an adapted script by Juliette Towhidi (Calendar Girls).

Harington will shoot the role following his commitments to "Spooks:The Greater Good" the film adaptation of cult British spy drama "Spooks" (aka. "MI-5") which begins production later this month. Production on "Youth" is slated to begin March 16th.

Harington and Vikander previously worked together on the much delayed "Seventh Son" opening next year.
