The film tells the story of a family that unwittingly brings a fear-feeding supernatural force with them when they return from a Grand Canyon vacation.
"Wolf Creek" filmmaker Greg Mclean co-wrote the screenplay with Shayne Armstro and will call action on the film.
Jason Blum Matt Kaplan and Robyn Marshall are set to co-produce.
Production begins in March in Los Angeles.
