Max Steel Movie Finds Its Leads

Ben Winchell and Ana Villafañe are set to star in the live-action adaptation of Mattel's superhero toy franchise called Max Steel says THR

 The action follows Max McGrath (Winchell), a teenager with special turbo-energy powers. Together with his alien companion Steel, he becomes the superhero Max Steel.

Villafane will play Max's love interest, Sydney Gardner.

Christopher Yost ("Thor: The Dark World") wrote the script from which Stewart Hendler directs.

This is the first in a planned series of Max Steel films--A wide release is planned in the U.S. next year.
