Hollywood Walk "Off" Fame

Can you believe that legendary movie actor Gregory Peck's star on the HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME was stolen? The fact that a person or persons would take the time to do that is just awful. I don't care if those responsible had the best reason in the world for doing so...how desperate are you? I hope the authorities somehow catch the culprit or culprits. Thankfully, a new star for Peck was unveiled on Wednesday, to replace the one that was taken. Peck's son Anthony was there to honor his late father who died in June of 2003 at the age of 87.

Peck was a class act, filled with talent, who made for quite the good guy or leading man. The American Film Institute called him the 12th most "Legendary Male Star" of all time. Three of my favorite films among his long career include 1962's original version of Cape Fear, 1976's The Omen, and of course the timeless To Kill A Mockingbird and his role as lawyer Atticus Finch. Peck was and still is a master of his craft.
