First, Nicole Kidman signed on to replace Sofia Vergara, now John Cusack is set to replace Tobey Maguire
The story centers on a reporter and his brother (Matthew McConaughey and Zac Efron) who investigate the events surrounding a murder in order to exonerate a man on death row.
Cusack will take on the role of the death row inmate.
Production hopes to begin later this year.
