Side Kicking It Up A Notch
British actor Ray Winstone (pictured) is joining the cast of the fourth Indiana Jones movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Winstone, who stars as the title character in Robert Zemeckis' upcoming Beowulf (November 16th, 2007) has signed on for a major role in the untitled film being referred to as Indy 4
Although the film's plot is being closely guarded, sources told the trade paper that Winstone will play star Harrison Ford's sidekick.
Sidekick Hmm...Speculation: I Smell Spin-off Potential--Which would make sense if they continue the franchise after Ford hangs up his hat for good...
More Speculation On My Part: He could play the son of Indy's pal Marcus Brody (the late great Denholm Elliott-1922-1992) who appeared in both Raiders Of The Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Whatever happens, Winstone makes a fine casting edition...
Indy 4 is set to begin filming in June in Los Angeles and at top-secret locations around the world. The long awaited sequel opens on May 22nd of next year.
