G-Man And The "Lady"

The latest 2-fer-1 has a trio of really talented folk coming together for a very cool film...And it's back to work for a new mom...

Christian Bale (pictured) is in negotiations to star opposite Johnny Depp in the Michael Mann directed period crime drama "Public Enemies" .

The flick will be an adaptation of author Bryan Burrough's book: Public Enemies: The True Story of America's Greatest Crime Wave, The story follows the government's manhunt of the criminals John Dillinger Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd.

Bale would play Melvin Purvis, who led the FBI manhunt for Dillinger (Depp) and captured more criminals than any other agent in agency history.

Filming is not expected to interfere with Bale's commitment to play John Connor in "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins," which follows "Enemies."

Bale continues to amaze me with the ability to find great projects in between the franchise stuff. Working with Mann and Depp should produce on screen magic. Can't wait!...

Mann wrote the script and production is due to start in March in Chicago and the US Mid-West.

Salma Hayek (pictured) is joining a freak show. The actress has signed on to star opposite John C. Reilly in the horror drama “Cirque du Freak,” in which she plays the famed "bearded lady".

The gig marks her first acting role since giving birth last fall. Production is set to begin next month.

Sounds like a cool project for Hayek to make her post-baby debut...I'm sure she will still find a way to look good in facial hair!
