RIP Lois Maxwell (1927=2007)

Lois Maxwell (pictured w/Sean Connery) died last week from complications from lung and vascular disease. She was 80 years old.

Best known for playing Miss Moneypenny in 14 James Bond films, beginning with 1962's Dr. No, through 1985's A View to a Kill--with Roger Moore ending his turn as 007.

Maxwell's career spanned some 60 years in both film and television. She won a Golden Globe for her work in the 1947 feature film That Hagen Girl. She also appeared in TV's The Saint, opposite Moore.

Her screen time in the Bond films may not have been very long but it was always memorable...She will be missed.
