Noted writer Wesley Strick (Cape Fear remake) has been tapped to pen the script for another remake -"A Nightmare on Elm Street" says The Hollywood Reporter.The original 1984 film was penned and directed by Wes Craven. The updated version is said delve deeper into the psychology of nightmares and Freddy Krueger himself.
With Strick on board, I'm actually more jazzed by the idea now...
The studio suits are planning for a release next year to co-incide with the 25th anniversary of the original.
