Potter Director David Yates Circles Spin-Off "'Fantastic Beasts"


David Yates the man who directed the last four of the eight "Harry Potter" films, is tipped to return for the upcoming film version of author  J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter Hogwarts textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" says Heat Vision.

No deal has been made but insiders confirm both sides are in negotiations.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be an original story and will mark Rowling's screenwriting debut. It is planned as the first picture in a new film series. Set in the wizarding world, the story will feature magical creatures and characters, some of which will be familiar to devoted Harry Potter fans.

The story is set seventy years before the events of the Harry Potter books. and follows a fictitious author named Newton Artemis Fido Scamander. Unlike the 'Potter' books, though the action in 'Beasts' begins in New York.
