Jeremy Lovering May Chart Horror Tale "The Bringing"

Deadline reports that Jeremy Lovering is in negotiations to direct the horror tale "The Bringing". He would replace "Drive" and "Only God Forgives" director Nicolas Winding Refn who dropped out of the gig  after negotiations between he and Sony Pictures reportedly stalled

The story is based on the macabre history of L.A.'s Cecil Hotel and a 2013 incident involving Elisa Lam, a woman who was found dead in a water tank on the hotel's roof. Security footage captures her behaving strangely in a hotel elevator, and the story follows a man investigating her death.

Lovering previously helmed the acclaimed Irish psychological thriller "In Fear" starring Iain De Caestecker and Allen Leech.

Brandon Murphy and Phillip Murphy wrote the script.

Matt Tolmach and Daniela Cristina Cretu are set to produce.
