The book is the first in a six-part series called "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" about a Frenchman born in the 14th century who reputedly became immortal. The story has two contemporary 15 year-old twins discovering the boss on their summer jobs is actually Flamel.
Scott will adapt his own novel
Mario Andreacchio and Konstantin Thoeren will produce.
The plan is for an early 2013 production start in Australia and New Zealand
