Director Barry Sonnenfeld is attached to helm the film adaptation of the DC Comics' "Metal Men" series says Vulture.
The series created by writer Robert Kanigher and penciller Ross Andru and centers on an artificial-intelligence expert named William Magnus who creates six cyborgs, each made from a distinct chemical element with talents reflecting their places in the Periodic Table of the Elements.
These include the stretchable leader Gold, the super strong Iron, the dumb but loyal Lead, the fiery Mercury, the insecure Tin, and the female Platinum.
Sonnenfeld hinted last month that he was possibly bringing back a classic 60's comic property but didn't say what the title was.
