Men Are From Mars Film Gets Director & Star

Bryan Buckley will make his feature directing debut on the film adaptation of author John Gray's popular self-help book "Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus" says Deadline.

First published in 1992, the book views marital and relationship problems "in terms of distinct and pervasive gender differences" It puts forth that men and women have different reasoning explaining how the same problem is perceived differently by each of the genders.

Over a dozen titles in the series have been published since.

Reese Witherspoon has been tagged to star in the pic.

Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont wrote the adapted screenplay.

Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun will produce the film.

Production hopes to kick by January.
