The competing Snow White pics are looking for a couple of Evil Queens

Deadline says Julia Roberts is being sought for  The Brothers Grimm: Snow White while Charlize Theron is in negotiations to play the role in Snow White and the Huntsman

The Grimm version is being directed by Tarsem Singh ("The Fall," "The Cell") and abides closely to the original fairy tale.

Rupert Sanders helms Huntsman which focuses more on the relationship between the Queen's servant and Snow White after they team up to seek revenge on the Queen. The latter was tipped to have Tom Hardy as the Huntsman, but now Michael Fassbender is apparently the front runner.

Meantime The Hollywood Reporter says that Riley Keough, Felicity Jones, Bella Heathcote, and Alicia Vikander are the four finalists in contention for the part of Snow in the Universal Pictures  version. All four will screen test in the next week and both films are targeting a 2012 release.
