Political Pros

Max Minghella and Jeffrey Wright ("Casino Royale") have  joined George Clooney's political drama "The Ides of March" says both The Daily Mail and Deadline

Beau Willimon has adapted his own off-Broadway play "Farragut North" based upon his own experiences working on Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign.

Set in Des Moines, Iowa just before the Democratic caucus, the story revolves around political manipulator Stephen Myers who uses dirty tactics to get his candidate (Clooney). a nomination


Roles for the pair were not disclosed

Ryan Gosling Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood also star

Clooney wrote the adapted the script with pal Grant Heslov and will both direct and produce the the pic which he is independently financing.

Shooting kicks off in January in Michigan and Ohio

Clooney's assembled quite a cast for this one. Looking forward to this more than I thought
