Brad Peyton ("Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) will direct and produce the sci-fi thriller "Invasion" says Variety.
J. Daniel Shaffer wrote the screenplay, which centers on a group of unprepared Philadelphia students who must become soldiers when a supernatural force attacks the city.
Andrew Adamson will also produce the Cloverfield-style pic.
No production schedule was given for the film.
