Rodat Rewrites Thor 2

"Saving Private Ryan" scribe Robert Rodat is set to perform a re-write of "Thor 2" says Deadline.

First Thor co-writer Don Payne had written the first draft

Rodat beat out contenders Sheldon Turner, John Collee (Master and Commander: The Far Side Of The World), and Pulp Fiction's Roger Avary.

Alan Taylor will direct the sequel that is expected to be on a larger scale than the first film with double the amount of Asgardian characters and the inclusion of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battling more mythical Norse creatures.

Meantime actor Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki recently told Empire that shooting kicks off this Summer in London.

The film is scheduled to be released November 15th 2013.
