Fox Co-chairman Tom Rothman stated that the goal is to get “real talent” on the project and that a reboot is not being made merely to keep the movie rights for the property (which are set to lapse soon).
“What it really needs is a visionary at the level of Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight),” says Rothman. “It needs a director who has a genuine vision...”
Yeah, but the guy they hired to write the new pic already wrote a remake and that script/movie sucked big time...
