Gyllenhaal's film, hopes to mark the 50th anniversary President John F. Kennedy's assassination next November, is set to examine the Secret Service personnel assigned to protect the President on that day.
Gyllenhaal will use both former agent Gerald Blaine's book of the same name, and recent interviews he did with surviving members of Kennedy's security detail.
Production kicks off in January.
