"Anchorman" director Adam McKay says that the long dead film adaptation of the Garth Ennis' comic "The Boys" may yet live.
McKay, who became attached to the film last March, recently tweeted that Paramount has picked up the property. The tweet was quickly removed.
The comics center on the adventures of a CIA squad, known informally as "the boys," whose job it is to keep watch on the proliferation of superheroes and, if necessary, intimidate or eliminate them.
A film version has been in the works since 2009 and was set up at Sony Pictures when it fell apart over a $100 million price tag and very, R-rated,script - a tough sell.
