Rice's "Dream Country" Becomes A Film

"Hit & Run" producers Kim Waltrip and Jim Casey are developing an adaptation of author Luanne Rice's 2002 novel "Dream Country" says Variety.

The story centers on a couple's blissful marriage that's cut short when their three-year old son disappears while accompanying his father on a roundup in Wyoming. Thirteen years later, the son's twin sister travels to Wyoming to discover her family's past.

Rice is co-adapting the script with Jayce Bartok.

Production kicks off in February.
