Ellen DeGeneres is in talks to reprise her role of the blue tang fish Dory in the planned "Finding Nemo 2" says Heat Vision.
A follow up to the much-loved 2003 animation was announced earlier this year with original co-director Andrew Stanton calling action once more.
Finding Nemo, made more than $800m worldwide and won the Academy Award for best animated film, centres on a hunt by fretful clownfish Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks) for his lost son Nemo. The pensive dad meets Dory, a naive but optimistic Regal Tang fish with short-term memory loss.
A few weeks from now DeGeneres’ long-running talk show returns for its 10th season and is now the most lucrative daytime talk show currently on TV.
The original Finding Nemo returns to theaters in 3-D on September 14th
