"Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" director Matt Reeves has signed on to direct the next installment of the rebooted franchise says Heat Vision.
Reeves signs on for the third film just as an early cut of the second film has been screening at the studio. Reeves will also write the script for the third one with 'Dawn' scribe Mark Bomback.
Peter Chernin will produce the next film
Reeves will likely go right into working on the third film which is now a priority for the studio. 'Dawn' is set to bow on July 11th 2014.
Rupert Wyatt directed the first film, "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes," in 2011. Reeves also directed "Cloverfield" and "Let Me In".
