Ben Kingsley Joins "Museum 3"

Deadline reports that Sir Ben Kingsley will portray an Egyptian pharaoh in the adventure sequel Night at the Museum 3 at Fox.

 
Star Ben Stiller and director Shawn Levy will reunite for the sequel that follows the further adventures of museum guard Larry Daley (Stiller), who discovered that the exhibits come to life under cover of darkness. Specific plot details for this film were not released.
 
Robin Williams will reprise his role as President Theodore Roosevelt. A role he has played in both "Night at the Museum" and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian". Former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens will play Lancelot here. Skyler Gisondo, who played Emma Stone’s brother in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” will star as Nick, son of Stiller’s Daley. Ricky Gervais plays Dr. McPhee, Daley’s boss again. Rebel Wilson will play the night guard at the British museum where the action the action is set this time out. Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan also appear

It's still unclear if  Amy Adams, Bill Hader and Christopher Guest will reprise their roles.

The first "Night at the Museum" was released in 2006 and went on to gross $574 million worldwide. The sequel came along three years later, grossing $413 million.

Production on part 3 begins in February and will take place in Vancouver and London.

The film is set for a Dec. 25, 2014 release.
