Norman Reedus Ready For "Triple Nine"

"The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus has joined the crime drama "Triple Nine" says Deadline.


The term 999 is a police code that refers to an officer who needs immediate assistance.

The story follows a group of thieves (led by Chiwetel Ejiofor) who plan to kill a young LAPD officer (Casey Affleck) to divert the police away from a daring heist they’re perpetrating across town.

Woody Harrelson co-stars as Sergeant Detective Jeffrey Allen, uncle to Affleck's fellow officer.

Michael B. Jordan, Aaron Paul, Gal Gadot, Teresa Palmer Kate Winslet Anthony Mackie and Michael Pena also star

Affleck replaced the previously linked Charlie Hunnam.

Matt Cook wrote the script from which John Hillcoat ("Lawless," "The Road") is set to direct.

Keith Redmon, Bard Dorros and Steve Golin are producing.

 Production begins this summer.
