Goon Becomes A Toon

Dark Horse Entertainment is teaming up with director David Fincher to turn the cult comic "The Goon" into a CG-animated film says says The Hollywood Reporter.

Created by Eric Powell in March of 1999, the series follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster. The tales have a paranormal and comedic bent to them.

Dark Horse has been publishing the comic since 2003.

Powell is adapting the script and Fincher will produce. Though no studio is yet attached, Dark Horse has a first look deal with Universal Pictures.

Sounds like fun...And going all CG fits perfectly with Powell's notion that The Goon is a creation of pure fiction, taking place in a comic reality-Rather than the "real world"...
