Rough Cut

Sony Pictures is working on a feature film using the last rehearsals of Michael Jackson says Variety.

The pic will be made from eighty hours of footage filmed for concerts Jackson was preparing to perform in London before he passed away last month at the age of 50

The feature will also include at least three videos including an alternative version of 'Thriller' which was prepped specifically as part of the London concerts.

The studio is expected to pay more than $50 million for worldwide rights to the footage.

Kenny Ortega (High School Musical film series), who shot the rehearsal footage, is expected to direct and has already started to assemble the footage.

Though shot for 3-D, it's uncertain if the feature film will be presented that way. A release is planned before the end of the year
