Jeremy Renner ("The Hurt Locker") is in negotiations to join Ben Affleck's "The Town," says The Hollywood Reporter.The flick, based on Chuck Hogan's book Prince of Thieves follows a dedicated federal agent (Jon Hamm) trying to capture a crook (Afflrck) and his gang.
Renner plays Affleck's doomed best friend, a member of the gang. Production sets up shop in Boston this September.
