Langella Helps Reagan @ "Reykjavik"

Frank Langella has joined cast of the historical indie drama "Reykjavik" says Deadline.

The story is based on the 1986 Reykjavík Summit between President Ronald Reagan (Michael Douglas) and Russian President and Mikhail Gorbachev (Christoph Waltz) which led to the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty between the two super powers.

Langella will play Paul Nitze, United States Secretary of the Navy and Reagan’s most senior and trusted adviser.

Kevin Hood wrote the script.

Ridley Scott was previously linked to helm the pic now though Mike Newell is now in talks to direct. Scott remains on board as producer along with David W. Zucker, Mark Sennet and Stewart Mackinnon.

Production kicks off in March in Germany.
