A Good Day To Die

Looks like Scream 4 will be the end of the line for Ghostface... Mixed reviews--Mine among them and poor box-office have killed the notion of a new Scream trilogy

Moviehole spoke with someone at Dimension Films who told them "The 'Scream' franchise will likely end here, at least for the moment" and plans for a so-called trilogy "stops here".

However, it's never say day die in horror--so they did add that the film series may have future as a direct-to-DVD franchise like the American Piie series did with titles like American Pie Presents Band Camp, American Pie Presents The Naked Mile, American Pie Presents Beta House going on to set sales records.--so that it didn't matter if they sucked. Should the tales continue?...Ugh!

With a  budget at $40 million, "Scream 4" opened with $18.7 million 2 weeks, almost half the coin of its two immediate predecessors. Its second weekend saw the film plummeting by 62.4% competition.

International numbers are meh as well...
