The film was made for less than $1.5 million; The Hollywood Reporter relays that if it pulls in $80 to $90 million worldwide, it could be the most profitable film of the year from a cost-to-gross standpoint.
It’s interesting to parallel this with the success of Paranormal Activity, another film that grossed heftily, even with an extremely small budget.
