This past week we learned via Bloody Disgusting that John Luessenhop is in talks to direct Leatherface 3D a second reboot of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre film series.
Drafts of the script were turned in by actress-turned-writer Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus (Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday) Stephen Susco (The Grudge) had also been attached to the film at one point
Bloody-Disgusting later added that Banshee scribe Kirsten Elms was "re-tooling the script, under the supervision of Luessenhop."
The new film will open where Tobe Hooper's original 1974 pic ended, then flashes forward to present
I know I'm in the minority here but I rather enjoyed the 2003 version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and its prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning from '06; Both films were improvements over The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 in 1986 and 1990's Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3
Need I even discuss the new film's 3-D component? Ugh!
