Mother Superior is an iron-fisted nun who runs the orphange where the young Stooges grew up. Although she tries to find foster parents for the wise-cracking trio, it never happensBack in Febuary Cher was said to be up for the part.
The PG-rated film will divide into three, 27-minute segments driven by physical comedy--It takes place in present day, but they will look, dress and sound exactly like the original Stooges.
Chris Diamantopoulos is now the front runner to play Moe Howard Former Will And Grace star Sean Hayes is set to play Larry Fine opposite Will Sasso as Curly Howard while Modern Family co-star Sofia Vergara plays a vixen who lures the Stooges into a potential murder-for-hire scheme.
It's strange. But I actually feel better about the female casting on Stooges than the male leads.
Production is scheduled to begin in May.
