Duh! Paramount Pictures has announced that a fourth film in the Paranormal activity series is on the way this year but haven't set a specific date yet.
Due to the low budget and quick turnaround model used, the previous sequels didn't begin shooting until the Summer ahead of their October releases. No doubt the same pattern will be used here.
“Paranormal Activity 3,” directed by “Catfish” helmers Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, broke opening weekend records in October, earning $52.6 million in three days this past fall. There’s no word on who will direct this sequel.
The franchise mastermind, Oren Peli, directed the first "Paranormal Activity" and has produced the two sequels, but so far, no director has been named
There’s no word on whether or not franchise star Katie Featherston will return for the fourth time.
