The film adaptation of author James Sallis' book Drive is a really great film---thanks in part to star Ryan Gosling and director Nicolas Winding Refn.
Now, Sallis' book sequel "Driven" is out and he tells The Independent that a film version of that is "in the pipeline".
The follo-up is set seven years later with Driver having reinvented himself and now living in Phoenix. Now engaged to be married he is successfully suppressing his violent impulses. When two goons attack them and kill her, "the violence is unleashed again."
As a film "Drive" made $76 million from a $15 million budget as well as nabbing a spot on many critics Top Ten film lists last year.
