Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence and her Hunger Games film series director Francis Lawrence are going to re-unite for the biopic "The Dive" says The Wrap.
J. Michael Straczynski's script is based on a true story about the romance between controversial Cuban free diver Francisco 'Pipin' Ferreras and Frenchwoman Audrey Mestre (Lawrence ) who
went on to become a multiple free diving world record holder under his
guidance. Mestre tragically lost her life in 2002 during an attempt to beat her own
world record of 557.7 feet.
Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale," "Green Lantern") was poised to take over the big chair at one point from James Cameron who remains on board the pic as producer Ferraras paid tribute to his late wife by
diving to the same depth in an attempt that was filmed by Cameron.
Rae Sanchini and Barry Josephson will also produce.
